The Rotary Club of Greater Westwood, NJ, is dedicated to contributing time, energy, and money to projects that change lives locally, nationally and throughout the world. Formed in 2013, the Club represents Hillsdale, River Vale, Township of Washington and Westwood. Our diverse membership includes area businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as residents of all ages – young parents through to retirees – each offering their talents, skills, passions and networks as we strive to embody the Rotary motto Service Above Self.

Aurora Abdool*
Aurora is the Branch Manager of Boiling Springs Savings Bank in Hillsdale and is the Club’s past-Secretary. An active community volunteer, Aurora is also involved with the Center for Hope and Safety (Shelter our Sisters), the Thomas Riley Senior Center, Zelcowa, Helping Hand Food Pantry, Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels, and the Joan Angela D’Alessandro Memorial Foundation. Aurora enjoys being part of Rotary as a means of serving and helping to make a difference in someone’s life through service and is especially proud of Rotary’s global dedication to eradicating Polio. |

Lourdes M. Andryszczak
Lourdes lives in Westwood. She retired recently from Pfizer/Wyeth, where she worked for 14 years as a Business Administrator. Lourdes is currently a Reiki practitioner. Lourdes describes Rotary as giving her a sense of brotherhood and welcomes the opportunity to service the local community and people throughout the World. Lourdes has spearheaded a Club collaboration with a Club in Mexico.

Charlene Barbetta*
Charlene is a Broker/Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker in Hillsdale. Beyond her involvement with the Westwood Rotary, where she serves a Membership Chair, Charlene is on the Board of Trustees of CASA for Children of Bergen County (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Charlene became part of Rotary to give back to the community and network with area businesses and residents.

Lisa Bontemps
Lisa is a Westwood resident. She is an Independent Certified Health Coach with Optavia and she is also the Program Manager for Westwood for All Ages, a grant funded initiative to help make Westwood an age-friendly community in which to live and thrive. Lisa was drawn to Rotary as a way of making a difference in the community through an organization that has a long-standing tradition of helping those in need and providing resources that help on local, national and even global levels. Lisa enjoys participating in District events, where she is inspired by members from other Clubs and gets ideas about how our group can impact the community.

Matthew Kitz
Matthew is a Bergen County native, a resident of Glen Rock and is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Westwood. In addition to Rotary, Matthew is also a member of the Westwood Chamber of Commerce and Pascack Valley chamber of Commerce. Matthew was introduced to Rotary over the years by family members in other chapters. He became part of Rotary to give back and help make a difference in the community of which he works.

Frank Di Dolci*
Frank is a resident of Hillsdale, is a Vice President Area Manager of Lakeland Bank. Frank serves as our Club’s Treasurer and is also actively involved in the North Jersey Chamber, Westwood Chamber, Pascack Valley Chamber and Westwood UNICO. Frank was inspired to join the Rotary by Frank Raffo, a friend, colleague and former president of the Oradell/Emerson Rotary who passed away a few years ago. In addition to networking, Frank became involved with Rotary as a way of giving back to the local communities where he works and to offer his skills to an organization in need.

Jeanne Martin*
Jeanne is Director of the Westwood-based Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels. She became involved with Rotary to connect with others from the greater Westwood Business community who are committed to helping area residents. Jeanne serves as the Club’s Vice President and has led numerous Club events, including a clothing drive, participation in Relay for Life and the group’s Drug and Alcohol Awareness efforts.

Thomas Ott*
Tom is a long-time resident of Westwood. He spent a fulfilling career in the food sciences industry specializing in food industry technical research for General Food Corp. Along with his wife, Lucy, Tom founded David’s Fund, an endowment devoted to supporting and advancement of the field of music therapy. Tom is on the advisory board of the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Paramus.

Brian Schiess
Brian is a Planning Associate at Modera Wealth Management in Westwood. Brian also serves as a member of the firm’s Philanthropy Committee which has supported causes in recent years such as Meals on Wheels, youth financial literacy, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Brian is originally from Ridgefield Park where he was active in the community as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 3, cantor of song at St. Francis of Assisi Church, and member of the Fourth of July Citizens’ Committee. Brian joined Rotary to provide a new outlet for his interests in community volunteerism and helping those in need, as well as networking with other businesses and professionals in the greater Westwood area.

Maureen Torelli
Maureen is the Administrator of CareOne at Valley in Westwood, NJ. While new to the Westwood Rotary, Maureen is not new to Rotary as a whole….Maureen was a member of the Goshen, NY, Rotary Club from 2003 to 2016 serving in various leadership roles including President in 2009/2010. Maureen has incorporated the Four Way Test as well as the Rotary Motto of “Service Above Self” in both her personal and professional life as they are wonderful principles to live by. Maureen looks forward to becoming more involved in the Westwood community through her involvement in the Westwood Rotary.

Martha Urbiel*
Martha lives in Hillsdale and has been Director of the Westwood Public Library since 2007. In addition to Rotary, Martha is a member of the Westwood Chamber of Commerce and New Jersey Library Association. Martha was the Club’s inaugural Vice President and leads the group’s Youth Exchange program, which provides a great opportunity for students to travel safely to other countries to reside with a local family and really learn about the culture. Martha enjoys collaborating with follow members and loves that there are always lots of laughs and good feelings at our meetings and events.

Steven Wells
Steve is an independent college consultant working with high school students and parents throughout Bergen County, providing his services to families across all economic strata. He spent most of his career producing theatre and television in New York and Los Angeles, after which he became a regular arts writer for The New York Times. Steve joined the Rotary Club of Greater Westwood when he moved here with his wife, Tracy, in 2016, and he focuses his volunteer efforts on trying to find answers to the escalating addiction crisis in New Jersey and elsewhere.
